The acidity is fresh and balanced, and the finish lingers with hints of tropical fruit.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNeyers Vineyards, founded by Bruce and Barbara Neyers in Napa Valley’s Sage Canyon, makes this Chardonnay from cool Sonoma Carneros sites, including El Novillero, Yamakawa and Sangiacomo vineyards. The grapes are hand-picked and whole-cluster pressed, then fermented with native wild yeasts in 60-gallon French oak barrels, a portion of them new. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally, and the wine ages on its lees before being bottled unfined and lightly filtered.
