Glenfiddich Malt Master's Edition is Brian Kinsman's first double-matured Glenfiddich: six to eight years in refill bourbon casks, then four to six years in sherry casks — a full second maturation. Limited when it launched, bottled at 86 proof with no age statement. The long sherry fill is why plum and fruit cake sit on the vanilla. A strong pick for sipping with friends.
Damp earth and whisky-soaked wood meet deep vanilla. Sherbet zing turns to spice, then plum, cherry, toasted almond, and fruit cake. The mouthfeel is silky. A light ember of oak sits in the background and the finish stays smooth.
