1800 Milenio Extra Añejo Tequila
Three years in American oak, then a finishing stint in French Cognac casks: that second stage is what sets this extra añejo apart. The Blue Weber agave is grown in Jalisco, and after more than three years of aging the spirit has taken on a burnished, almost brandy-like depth without losing its roots.
Cooked agave still leads, sweet and vegetal, with vanilla close behind. Dried fruit and cinnamon sit together underneath, warm rather than sharp, and the finish carries caramel alongside a Cognac-like oak that lingers well past the swallow. At 80 proof (40% ABV) the texture is soft and rounded, easy to drink slowly.
This is a sipping tequila, best served neat in a copita or small tulip glass where the fruit and spice have room to open. The 750 mL bottle is the kind you keep on the shelf for evenings that deserve a little more attention than usual.
