Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Bourbon Whiskey – Big C Barrel Pick

Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Bourbon Whiskey – Big C Barrel Pick is a Big C Liquors store pick: one cask from Knob Creek's Single Barrel Select program, bottled for this shop and exclusive here. James B. Beam Distilling in Clermont ages the bourbon at least nine years in new number-four-char oak; Big C chose this barrel as an elevated, store-only version of Knob Creek Single Barrel. Pour it as a weeknight pour that still feels chosen.

A Select barrel is one cask of that long-aged Knob Creek, so the drink is built for vanilla, caramel, and char from the new oak rather than a blend of many barrels. This pick drinks as that house at full single-barrel intensity, with the extra character of the cask Big C signed off on. The finish is long and warming, oak and sweetness holding after the sip.
