Old Pepper Distillery Barrel Proof Bourbon Whiskey is distilled and bottled at James E. Pepper (DSP-KY-5) in Lexington: corn, rye, malted barley, and malted rye, in Kentucky oak seasoned 18–24 months then toasted and charred, drawn from the historic distillery well, and bottled uncut and unfiltered at barrel proof. Malt in the mash is why caramel and spice stay round at full strength. A slow neat sip when you want Lexington’s own whiskey from the barrel.

Caramel and vanilla lead, with a clear malt sweetness. Baking spice, toasted oak, and dark fruit stand out on the palate; the mouthfeel is creamy for barrel proof, and the finish is medium-long on oak, cocoa, and spice.
