Wheat in place of rye is why it stays plush at that strength, and the yearly allocation is tight. Open it when the occasion is the pour.
Vanilla and caramel-nut fudge open first, then pecan, dried fruit, and cherry. Robust wheat and peppery spice stand out on the palate; the body is plush and chewy, and the finish is long on floral honey, brown spice, and charred barrel.
