Parker’s Heritage Collection 11 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey is the 11th annual edition, and each bottle is one cask: Heaven Hill’s traditional bourbon mash, eleven years in new charred oak in Parker Beam’s favorite rickhouse at Deatsville, bottled at 122 proof without chill filtration. Parker called the single-barrel program one of his greatest achievements; this release was built to show why. A portion of proceeds supports ALS research. Keep it for a slow evening.
Heavy spice and oak hit first, then raisin, caramel, and a hint of smoke. Tobacco and cherry sit underneath. The texture is creamy and hot at full proof; the finish is long and dry, with cinnamon and baking spice hanging on.
