Pendleton Director’s Reserve 20 Year Old Canadian Whisky is a 20-year blended Canadian whisky, distilled in Canada, then cut in Oregon with glacier-fed water from Mt. Hood and bottled at 80 proof. Dedicated to the directors of the Pendleton Round-Up, each bottle wears a leather neck cuff by saddle maker Randy Severe. Twenty years in American oak plus that soft water give orchard fruit and warm spice room to show. Save it for an after-dinner dram.
Toasted coconut, cinnamon, vanilla, and orange zest open the glass. Ripe apple, pear, and banana follow, with smoked wood and baking spice through a full, easy sip. Pecans and walnuts hang on a long, mature close.
