Alma del Jaguar’s añejo tequila is made from Blue Weber agave in Los Altos, Jalisco, and contains no additives. Aged 1 year, it is finished in Spanish oak that previously held Ruby Port. The wine-cask finish gives this expression a distinctive frame for its agave-led palate.
Cooked agave is joined by ripe red fruit and berries. Chocolate and caramel add darker sweetness, while spice gives the finish a warm edge. Bottled at 88 proof (44% ABV), it has a firm presence without losing the fruit and agave at its center.
