Pear leads, ripe and juicy, with vanilla close behind it and honey settling underneath. Citrus lifts the whole thing, and there's a quiet run of herbs and soft baking spice that keeps the sweetness in check. It's a friendly dram without being simple.
This is a blended malt drawn from more than one Scottish region, matured in refill American oak alongside casks seasoned with Vino Naranja. The refill wood lets the fruit through rather than covering it in char, and the seasoned casks add the orange-peel edge you notice on the finish. Bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV), it has enough weight to stand up on its own.
A 2021 release in a 750 mL bottle. Good as an everyday pour, and it holds its shape in a highball if that's how you drink Scotch.
