Three decades shows up in the texture first: thick, almost syrupy across the tongue, with none of the heat you might brace for from a cask strength pour.
Dried fruit leads — figs and raisin steeped soft — and candied orange cuts through it with real brightness. Baking spice warms the back of the palate, and the finish turns dark and savory, balsamic and mature oak trailing long after the sip. It is single barrel and additive free, so what you taste is the barrel's own arithmetic rather than anything added later.
A brandy like this drinks well after dinner without ceremony. Neat in a small pour, 750 mL, and it will hold its shape in the bottle for months.
