From Trelawny, Jamaica, ImpEx Collection Long Pond 2007 Jamaican Rum is a single-barrel release matured in an ex-bourbon cask. It is bottled at cask strength, keeping the character of the individual barrel at the center of the pour.
Banana and pineapple shape the fruit side, with citrus peel adding a sharper edge. Molasses brings darker sweetness, while spice and light esters round out the profile. The balance of tropical fruit, citrus, and spice is easy to understand without feeling simple. Pour it neat, or adjust it to taste with a small splash of water. This release comes in a 750 mL bottle.
