Plum and honey sit closely together at the outset, giving the Cognac a ripe, softly sweet, fruit-led core. Fig adds a darker shade of fruit, while leather brings an earthy counterpoint that keeps the palate from reading as purely sweet. Baking spice sharpens the contours and gives the profile definition. After the fruit recedes, the finish settles into mature oak.
