This is a fruit-forward Jamaican rum with a rich wine-cask accent. Distilled in 2010 in St. Catherine Parish, it spent 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels followed by 2 years in ruby port wine casks. The result brings the rum’s tropical fruit character together with darker berry and dried-fruit flavors.
Banana and sweet caramel give the opening an easy warmth, while raspberry and raisins add a deeper, gently tart edge. Cassis jam rounds out the profile, with red wine notes lingering toward the finish. Bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), it has enough presence to sip on its own or pour over ice without losing its fruit.
