A full year in virgin toasted Japanese Mizunara oak defines the maturation of Alma del Jaguar Barricas Mizunara Añejo Tequila. Made with Blue Weber agave in Jalisco’s Los Altos region, it is additive free.
Cooked agave and honey give the palate a familiar foundation. Sandalwood introduces a dry, aromatic turn, while green tea provides a fresh contrast. Together, these flavors offer a clear view of the agave alongside the influence of its time in oak.
Bottled at 88 proof (44% ABV), this añejo is well suited to slow, neat pours. The 750 mL bottle also works comfortably in a home bar when a spirit-forward tequila cocktail calls for an aged expression.
