Ardbeg Corryvreckan started as a Committee bottle and joined the core range in 2009. Bourbon and new French oak, 114.2 proof, non-chill-filtered, named for the whirlpool north of Islay. The French oak and that proof are why it hits harder than the 10.
Tar, dark chocolate, blackcurrant, espresso, and cracked pepper, then chocolate cherries. Deep, chewy, and peppery.
