Ardbeg Scorch is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky distinguished by maturation in heavily charred ex-bourbon casks. It is a direct, smoke-forward expression, balanced by sweetness, citrus, and a firm oak character.
Peat smoke and grilled meat give the whisky a savory core, while vanilla softens the edges. Lemon adds a clean lift against charred oak, and anise brings a dry, lightly herbal accent. At 92 proof (46% ABV), the flavors remain full and clearly defined.
This 2021 release comes in a 750 mL bottle. The combination of smoke, grilled character, vanilla sweetness, and citrus makes it easy to grasp, while the charred oak gives the finish a darker edge.
