Barrell Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey

Bottled at cask strength, this is bourbon as it came out of the barrel — undiluted, full weight, no proofing down. That undiluted character shows up immediately in the texture, which coats rather than skims, and it gives the sweeter notes something solid to sit on.

Honey and butterscotch lead, thick and warm, with dried fruit underneath adding a darker, chewier edge. Vanilla runs through the whole pour. Baking spice and oak arrive late and stay a while, drying things out just enough to keep the sweetness in check. Whiskey drawn from several states and married together, matured in American oak casks, it drinks with more depth than any single component would suggest.

A few drops of water will open the fruit if you want it softer. Over a large cube, it holds its shape. 750 mL.
