Casamigos Añejo Tequila
This is a soft, sweet-leaning añejo built for easy drinking. Fourteen months in American white oak have rounded off the edges of Blue Weber agave grown in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, leaving a tequila that feels closer to a sipping spirit than a mixing one.
Caramel and vanilla lead, thick enough to coat the tongue without turning syrupy. Underneath sits cocoa and a suggestion of dried fruit, while roasted agave keeps the whole thing anchored to what it actually is. Baking spice trails the finish, warm rather than sharp.
At 80 proof (40% ABV) it stays gentle, which makes it forgiving over ice and equally at home in an añejo old fashioned when you want something a little richer than a blanco would give you. The 1.75 L bottle is the practical size for a house tequila that gets poured often.
