Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Amaranth Grain of the Gods is a Kentucky straight bourbon with a warm, spice-led palate. Caramel and dark fruit share the opening, with baking spice adding definition to the whiskey’s sweeter side. Toasted nuts bring a savory turn before vanilla and oak settle into the finish.
Released in 2019, this bourbon matured in new charred American oak and is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). The strength gives it enough backbone to hold a large cube without losing its shape, while a neat pour offers a firmer expression. The 750 mL bottle is well suited to slow, considered pours shared around the table.
