Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the annual double-matured bottling: the same honeyed Highland malt as the 15 gets a second rest in Oloroso sherry–seasoned casks so grape, nut, and baking spice sit on top of heather without erasing it. Diageo releases one batch a year, and current US labels no longer carry distillation years. Easy to keep on the bar for weeknight sipping.
Honey and heather still lead, then grape, dried fruit, and a buzz of nutmeg and pepper. The sip is creamy and coating, and the finish runs long, dry, and vanilla-oak, with white pepper lingering after the sweetness drops.
