Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Highlands give this single malt its shape: gentle, heather-touched, easy to sit with. Fifteen years of maturation come first, followed by a finishing period in Oloroso sherry casks that rounds out the whisky's softer edges.
Honey leads, thick and sweet without being cloying, and dried fruit sits just underneath it. Vanilla keeps things smooth through the palate, while a light thread of heather runs alongside. The close is warm rather than sharp, with a touch of spice and polished oak lingering after the sweetness fades.
At 86 proof (43% ABV), it drinks comfortably neat and takes ice well if you'd rather have it cold. This is an approachable Scotch for weeknights and unhurried evenings, familiar enough to reach for often but with enough sherry character to stay interesting. Bottled at 750 mL.
