Caramel and vanilla lead, sweet but not sugary. Underneath there's a warm note of roasted nuts and dried fruit, the kind of quiet depth that keeps the sweetness in check. Baking spice and oak arrive late and stay light, tapering off rather than gripping.
At 80 proof (40% ABV), the texture is soft and the finish is short and clean. It takes an ice cube without falling apart, and it works just as well straight from the 750 mL bottle into a rocks glass after dinner.
