WhistlePig 18 Year Old Double Malt Straight Rye Whiskey is a limited annual bottling of the farm’s oldest rye: 91% rye and 9% malted barley, eighteen years in American oak, then a Pedro Ximénez sherry-cask finish. Bottled at 92 proof, each bottle wears a handmade Vermont glass stopper. Save it for a slow neat pour.
Toasted almond, caramel, and smoked maple lead. Grassy rye spice and soft honey stand out on the palate. Dried fruit lingers on a long finish, with the PX sweetness riding the sip rather than covering the grain.
