Highland single malt tends toward the softer, fruitier end of Scotch, and this one leans into that. The name and the age appear on the label, but the whisky itself makes the case plainly enough: orange peel up front, bright and a little bitter at the edge, with toffee settling in behind it.

Vanilla runs through the body and gives it a rounded, easy weight. Raisin and cocoa arrive later and darken things without turning heavy, and baking spice and oak trail off at the end. At 80 proof (40% ABV), it is approachable rather than assertive, which makes it a straightforward pour after dinner or a sound base for a highball.
