Heaven’s Door Redbreast Master Blenders’ Edition Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Heaven's Door Redbreast Master Blenders' Edition Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the 2021 limited collaboration between Ryan Perry and Redbreast's Billy Leighton: ten-year American bourbon finished 15 months in Redbreast Single Pot Still casks that had already held Irish whiskey and, before that, Spanish sherry. Those casks are why nut paste and dried fruit sit on the bourbon instead of a simple vanilla oak. Bottled at 100 proof in a Dylan gate bottle with the Redbreast robin. Pour it when you are sipping with friends.

Marzipan, walnut, and fig lead, with dates, raisin, and a sherry-dark fruit sweetness behind them. Leather and spice keep it from turning sticky, and the finish is honey, a hint of coconut, and lingering nut oil.
