Heaven’s Door Redbreast Master Blenders’ Edition Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Sugarcane leads, sweet and a little green, with coconut sitting just behind it. Citrus lifts the whole thing before vanilla settles in, and the finish comes through clean and dry rather than sticky. It is an easygoing pour with no rough edges, the kind of bourbon that reads clearly the moment you taste it.

At 80 proof, this is a gentle bottling. Bourbon at this strength gives up some of the heat that heavier proofs carry, which makes it straightforward to drink neat and forgiving over ice. It is also an obliging base for an Old Fashioned or a highball, where the sweeter grain notes hold their shape against citrus or soda.

The whiskey is additive free, so what you taste comes from the grain and the barrel. Sold in a 750 mL bottle.
