Hibiki Japanese Harmony Limited Edition Blended Japanese Whisky is the 2021 Ryusui-Hyakka design bottle: painted flowers and flowing water across the 24 facets, a tribute to Japan’s twenty-four seasons. Inside is Harmony—more than ten malt and grain whiskies from Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita, with American white oak as the base and sherry and Mizunara malts for perfume—bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV). This is a limited design release. Keep it for a quiet evening pour when the glassware is as considered as the whisky.
Rose, lychee, and a hint of rosemary sit on mature wood and sandalwood. Honey-like sweetness, candied orange peel, and white chocolate fill a delicate palate, and Mizunara spice lingers on a subtle, tender finish.
