High West Rendezvous Rye Whiskey
High West Rendezvous Rye Whiskey is the distillery's flagship: a non-chill-filtered blend of MGP 95% rye and High West's pot-still 80% rye / 20% malted rye, aged four to seven years and bottled at 92 proof. It was the first whiskey High West bottled, named for the mountain-trader gatherings in Utah's Cache Valley, and it still runs a far higher rye share than a typical 51% mash. Column-still spice and pot-still richness are the point. Keep it on the table for sipping with friends.
Orange peel, dried apricot, mint, and clove ride over caramelized sugar and pine. The palate is ginger and cinnamon with molasses, vanilla, and toasted oak underneath, then a lively rye-spice finish into caramel, orange zest, and tobacco. It drinks round and caramelized, with enough snap for a Manhattan.
