Highland Park Florida Edition 11 Year Old Single Cask Scotch Whisky
Highland Park Florida Edition 11 Year Old Single Cask Scotch Whisky
Highland Park Florida Edition 11 Year Old Single Cask Scotch Whisky is a Florida-exclusive distillery single cask from Kirkwall: cask 5260, distilled in 2007, eleven years in a first-fill European oak sherry puncheon, bottled in 2019 at 131.6 proof, natural color, 549 bottles. Gordon Motion selected the cask for this market. First-fill sherry at cask strength piles dried fruit and spice onto the island’s heathered peat. A large cube tames the heat without flattening the wood.
Raisin and dark chocolate lead, with vanilla, citrus, and warming pepper behind them. Brine and gentle peat keep the sweetness in check. It drinks dense and hot at full strength, then opens into dried fruit and smoke as the cube melts.
