Highland Park Sunshine State Edition 11 Year Old Single Cask Scotch Whisky
Highland Park Sunshine State Edition 11 Year Old Single Cask Scotch Whisky
Highland Park Sunshine State Edition 11 Year Old Single Cask Scotch Whisky is a Florida-exclusive distillery single cask: distilled in 2008, eleven years in a first-fill American oak sherry puncheon (cask 147), 588 bottles at 130.2 proof, natural color. American oak sherry loads vanilla, citrus, and coconut onto Highland Park’s dried fruit and heathered peat, still bottled undiluted. Give it a drop of water and settle in for a slow sip.
Raisin and vanilla sit beside dark chocolate and orange citrus, with spice and a little brine on the back. Gentle peat smoke holds the finish. At 130.2 proof it is concentrated and warming; water lengthens the fruit and softens the oak.
