Indri Drú Cask Strength Indian Single Malt Whisky is Indri's core cask-strength malt from Haryana, India: selected ex-bourbon barrels, married by the blender, bottled uncut at 114.4 proof. In Sanskrit, Drú means wood, or a wooden vessel. Northern India's warehouses lose 10 to 12 percent a year to the angels, so tropical fruit and dark chocolate arrive concentrated from the heat rather than from long calendar age. Non-chill-filtered, no added color. Pour it on a cold night.

Pineapple, mango, and honey flood the sip, then a deep pool of dark chocolate, vanilla, and orange zest. Butterscotch and hazelnut sit behind the fruit, with a drying, slightly leathery oak that keeps the sweetness in check. The body is full and the finish long, lingering on fruit, cocoa, and warm spice.
