This is Kentucky straight bourbon from a single barrel, aged 2 years in new charred American oak. Two years is enough for the char to lend color and a light woody edge while the grain character stays forward. Because each barrel is bottled on its own, small differences from bottle to bottle are part of the deal.
An everyday pour. It mixes well with cola or ginger ale, holds up fine over ice, and works in a simple highball without disappearing. The 750 mL bottle is the standard size for a home bar shelf.
