There is no age statement because the team is hunting texture and depth rather than a number on the label, which is why old grain gives this whisky its velvet weight. This is an after-dinner dram.
Honey and vanilla arrive first, then dried fruit, raisin, and hazelnut. Dark chocolate and a thread of rose and orange keep the sweetness from turning sticky, and a dry, elegant smoke runs the length of a long, silky finish.
