Johnnie Walker Blue Label Blended Scotch Whisky

Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a blended Scotch drawn from casks across Scotland's whisky regions, married into something notably smooth for its weight. Honey leads, thick and floral, with hazelnut sitting just beneath it. Dried fruit deepens the middle stretch, and dark chocolate gives the whole thing a rounded, faintly bitter edge that keeps the sweetness in check.

The finish is where the blend shows its hand. Warm spice lifts, then a soft curl of smoke drifts through and lingers well after the sip. It never turns ashy or sharp, which is much of the appeal of this particular style of blending: the peated whiskies are there for texture and shadow rather than volume.

At 80 proof (40% ABV), it drinks easily neat and holds its shape over a single large cube. Oak maturation has smoothed the edges without stripping character. The 750 mL bottle is the one people reach for when an ordinary evening deserves a little more attention.
