King of Kentucky Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is Brown-Forman's allocated annual cask: one barrel of the 79% corn, 11% rye, 10% malt mash, aged 14 to 17 years in heat-cycled Louisville warehouses, then bottled uncut and unfiltered. Revived in 2018 from an 1881 label, each bottle carries a handwritten barrel number and proof. Pour it when you are sipping with friends.
Dark cherry and caramel lead a thick, high-proof sip, with cocoa and maple right behind. Leather, tobacco, and baking spice stand out on the palate as the heat settles. The finish runs long and dry: seasoned oak, a little cinnamon, chocolate that lingers.
