KOVAL Rye Whiskey Aged in Amburana Barrels Limited Edition Single Barrel is a limited Chicago rye: 100% organic rye, heart-cut, aged first in new American oak, then finished in Brazilian Amburana — the tropical wood cachaça makers use for vanilla, cardamom, and coconut. Each bottle is one cask, 100 proof, natural color, no chill filtration. Pour it when the meal is done.
Warm vanilla and cardamom open on toasted coconut and cinnamon bark. Bold rye spice meets allspice and coconut cream in the middle, and the finish is long and warming, cinnamon, black pepper, and that wood still standing out on the palate.
