Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year Old Charred Oak Cask Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the third Offerman limited edition from Islay, Scotland: eleven years in American and European oak that was shaved and heavily re-charred, bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV). That extra char is why cocoa, treacle, and red berries stand out on the palate beside the peat—a steak-side malt with Offerman’s woodworking in mind. Pour it with a ribeye, or over a large cube after the grill.

Peat, chocolate, and treacle open with red berries and a creamy edge. The sip is pungent, woody, and spicy, with cocoa and sweet berry; the finish is warm, lingering, and peppery.
