Laphroaig Càirdeas Warehouse 1 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This one drinks easy. At 60 proof, it lands lighter than most single malts, and it needs nothing added to be enjoyable — pour it neat and it stays soft and open from the first sip. Orange citrus leads, bright and clean, with vanilla settling underneath it. There's a faint sweetness at the close, closer to light sugarcane than to syrup.

Islay is the source, an island on Scotland's west coast whose distilleries are known for making whisky with real presence. This is a gentler expression of that place, and the lower strength makes it approachable for anyone who has found Islay malts too forceful in the past.

Bottled at 750 mL. It works well as a slow evening dram, and it holds up over ice if you'd rather drink it cold.
