Larceny Private Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey

Larceny Private Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey is a hand-selected cask of Heaven Hill’s wheated bourbon — the same 68 percent corn, 20 percent wheat, and 12 percent malted barley behind Larceny and Old Fitzgerald — bottled at 92 proof without chill filtration. One barrel, not a mingled small batch, so the wheat stays soft and the charred-oak sugars stay in the glass. This is a distillery single barrel from Heaven Hill’s private-barrel program. Keep it as a weeknight pour.

Honeyed wheat bread, vanilla, and caramel stand out on the palate, with cinnamon and a gentle oak dryness on the close. The mouthfeel is round and oily at 92 proof, and the wheat sweetness hangs on.
