The blend is 14-year Basil Hayden, 11-year Knob Creek, 10-year Booker’s, 9-year Knob Creek, 9-year Baker’s, and 4-year Jim Beam finished in sherry and toasted bourbon casks — Small Batch Collection whiskey at ages you cannot buy, plus a finished Beam cut for dried fruit. A large cube is enough to settle the heat.
Fig, raisin, and molasses open, then velvety caramel, cinnamon, and honey show through. Dates, dark chocolate, and rye spice keep the sweetness from turning heavy. The finish is long: seasoned oak, raisin, and a last thread of tobacco.
