Lock and Load Bourbon Whiskey is Aiko's 1.75 L American bourbon in the carbine bottle: 80-proof whiskey from the same novelty line that lists Indiana distillate, a six-month minimum age, and new charred American oak. It is a large-format house pour. Use it on a weeknight.
Caramel and vanilla lead, with toasted grain and a little cinnamon behind them. The texture is easy at 80 proof, sweet enough for cola or ginger, still clear enough for an old fashioned. Baking spice and light oak close the sip without much heat.
