Maker’s Mark Star Hill Farm American Wheat Whisky is the distillery’s inaugural 2025 wheat whisky from Loretto, Kentucky—no corn in the mash, built from two recipes of soft red winter wheat (one 70% wheat with 30% malted barley, one 100% malted wheat) grown with regenerative farming in mind. Seven- and eight-year barrels, bottled uncut at cask strength, 114.7 proof (57.35% ABV). A weeknight pour when you want grain-forward American whisky with real weight.
Buttery caramel, golden raisins, and gingerbread open, then honeyed toffee, chocolate-covered cherry, and apple-pie spice stand out on the palate. The finish is smooth, with toasted pecan and soft cinnamon; the body is rich and the proof shows as warmth rather than burn.
