This is a Champagne with real fruit at its center. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier are blended together, and the extended time on the lees in bottle shows up as brioche and a warm, toasted nuttiness sitting under the fruit rather than covering it.
White peach and citrus lead, bright and clean, with softer orchard fruit filling in behind them. A chalky mineral streak runs through the finish and keeps everything tidy. At 12% ABV the wine stays light on its feet, so it drinks easily on its own without needing anything alongside it.
Serve it properly cold, in a glass with enough room for the aromas to open up. The 750 mL bottle is the standard size for sharing across a table of four, and it holds up well through a long evening rather than fading after the first pour.
