Old Elk Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the limited Master’s Blend that marries the high-malt bourbon to the wheated bourbon so all four grains are in the glass: 51% corn, 22.5% wheat, 19% malted barley, and 7.5% rye, aged 6–7 years. That mix is what you taste as almond, vanilla, and maple against a little rye spice. Bottled at 105.9 proof (52.95% ABV). This is a weekend pour.
Caramel apple, vanilla, and almond lead a fruit-forward sip, then sweet corn, brown sugar, and maple fill a smooth, creamy middle. Rye spice, cinnamon, and oak dry the close, with a medium, slightly spicy finish. It drinks sweet up front and spiced at the end, all four grains readable at 105.9 proof.
