Old Fitzgerald 13 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 100 Proof
Old Fitzgerald 13 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 100 Proof
Old Fitzgerald 13 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 100 Proof is Heaven Hill's Spring 2019 Decanter Series release: wheated bourbon distilled in the fall of 2005 at Bernheim in Louisville, aged thirteen years in new charred American oak, and bottled in bond at 100 proof. Wheat in the mash keeps those extra years dessert-soft, which is why this allocated green-label bottle still drinks generous. Pour it as an after-dinner dram.
Ripe peach and honey lead, with vanilla flan, maple, and marshmallow behind them. Milk chocolate and a little coconut sweeten a slightly oily sip. Cinnamon, almond, and toasted oak close long and warm, drier than the fruit but never bitter.
