Old Fitzgerald 14 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 100 Proof
Old Fitzgerald 14 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 100 Proof
Old Fitzgerald 14 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 100 Proof is Heaven Hill's Fall 2020 Decanter Series bottling, distilled in the fall of 2005 and bottled fourteen years later at 100 proof. It was the first 14-year released nationally in the series: wheated mash from Bernheim, aged in Bardstown, barrels pulled from more than one rickhouse and floor inside a single season. The extra wood reads as brown butter and toasted nuts. Open it in cold weather.
Caramel and maple sugar coat the palate, with brown butter, toffee, and vanilla bean. Toasted nuts and a hint of black cherry sit in the middle. Tobacco, allspice, and mature oak finish dessert-sweet and rich enough to linger.
