Old Fitzgerald 9 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is Heaven Hill's Spring 2025 Decanter Series release, the fifteenth national bottling: Spring 2016 barrels, green label, allocated, and bonded at 100 proof. Nine years in new char on the wheated mash tastes like apple-pie crust and toasted cereal. It holds up in a spirit-forward cocktail.
Vanilla and butterscotch lead, then baked apple, graham cracker, and honey. The sip is creamy and viscous, with caramel, cinnamon, and toasted grain. The finish is long: apple-pie spice, vanilla, and dry toasted oak with a little white pepper.
