Orphan Barrel Fanged Pursuit 17 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Orphan Barrel Fanged Pursuit 17 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Orphan Barrel Fanged Pursuit 17 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a one-time Kentucky release: seventeen years in charred American oak, non-chill-filtered, bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV). The mash sits in a rye-forward range — about 68–74% corn, 18–22% rye, and 8–10% malted barley — and skipping chill filtration is what you taste as a velvety coat of cherry, honey, and toasted wood. It is built for cold weather.
Vanilla, red cherry, and honey lead, then butterscotch, orchard fruit, and baking spice fill the palate. Toasted wood, a thread of mint, and leather show the age, and the finish turns drier — molasses, walnut, and char. It drinks juicy for seventeen years, with enough savory close to linger.
