Orphan Barrel Forager's Keep 26 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited Speyside malt from Pittyvaich, the Dufftown distillery that ran only eighteen years before closing in 1993 and later being demolished. This twenty-six-year whisky has lived longer than the distillery itself, bottled at 96 proof (48% ABV) as Orphan Barrel's first Scotch. That extra age is what you taste as ripe orchard fruit, vanilla cream, and orange peel with a gentle wood spice. Save it for a long evening pour.
Crisp red apple, peach, and pear lead, with vanilla cream and a distant orange peel on the palate.
