Parker’s Heritage Collection 16th Edition Double Barreled Blend Bourbon 132.2 Proof is a barrel-proof marriage of 67 percent thirteen-year bourbon — dumped and refilled into new Level 3 oak for four weeks — and 33 percent fifteen-year bourbon from Rickhouse II. The second barrel pulls more spice and wood sugars; the older whiskey rounds the blend. Heaven Hill’s 78 percent corn, 10 percent rye, and 12 percent malted barley mash, uncut and non-chill filtered at 132.2 proof. A share of each bottle still funds ALS research. This is cold-weather whiskey at full volume.
Cherry and caramelized sugar lead, then butterscotch, toasted marshmallow, and pecan pie fill the sip. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and dark chocolate ride through. The texture is thick and sweet for the proof; the finish is long and warm, with baking spice, white pepper, and mature oak.
