Penelope Barrel Strength Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskey is Penelope’s uncut four-grain bourbon: three Indiana mashbills aged 4 to 6 years in new American oak, blended and bottled without water or chill filtration at 114 proof. Wheat in the mash keeps caramel and pecan sweet while rye adds pepper. Pour it over a large cube.
Pecan, dried apricot, and vanilla open the glass. Caramel, toffee, leather, and orange zest fill a medium, spicy sip. White pepper, cinnamon, and brown sugar ride a long caramel finish with a thread of barrel char.
